Anyone can do it, anytime, anywhere.  Just how powerful is prayer?  Scripture says it is strong enough to move mountains.  The mountain of addiction, selfishness, idleness, laziness, stubborn hearts, troubles of all sorts, sickness, bitterness, anger... etc.  Prayer is a gift from God.  It is the ability to commune (hang-out) with the living God who listens and responds to our requests and concerns.  Prayer is the confession that we can't do everything on our own, that we need God's assistance.  The Salvation Army recognizes the absolute need for prayer, to seek God's will first before moving forward.
